What a sad story. Poor little piggy, just needing someone to take him home and make him better. He sounds like he has mites, which can be exacerbated by stress. So simple to treat but fatal if left alone. How stressful it must be for a little piggy to be dumped in a petstore, without anyone to care for him. He may well have a fungal problem too. Easily treated if you know what to do.

I am always infuriated by petstores that sell pets. Why can't they just stock pet supplies and leave people to find pets at refuges and rescues ( or even a breeder )?

What nonsense about white animals. Just a pitiful excuse on the part of the employee.

I have had many white piggies in the past and two current ones and there is no difference in their susceptibility to skin problems.

Please do call in animal control to help this little boar. I wish that I could bring him home and make him well.
