Dear Sherry,

I am so sorry to hear about Golden. It is hard enough to lose a
piggie, without the addition of that terrible second-guessing. Reading
your post brought back to me how horrible I felt with Cocoa, when he
was getting worse and worse, and I couldn't get any useful help from a
vet until finally I was told euthanasia was the only option. But in
these cases, all we can do is trust our instincts and know that the
decisions we make are out of love for our piggies. You did the right
thing, because you loved Golden and made the choice for him that your
heart told you was best. He had a good and happy and healthy life
while he was with you, and at least this way he didn't spend too long
battling a chronic condition that would have compromised his quality
of life. I know it's hard to feel comforted, but I hope you feel a
little better soon. I can finally look at my photos of Cocoa again
without feeling sick, so hang in there, it does get somewhat better
with time. You did a great thing by giving a piggie a happy life, and
from the Bridge he is smiling and thanking you for that.

My thoughts and prayers are with you, and with everyone who has lost a
piggie recently, or has a sick piggie... it seems like we're going
through a wave of this again. )-: I hope with spring things will get
better.

Love and wheeks from Suzy and Rocky
and Cocoa in our hearts
