Mr. Mike T. Pig's broken tooth has mostly grown back in beautifully.
He is off his antibiotic and eating independently pretty well. We're
still supplementing him with Critical Care because he has been
dropping weight. Before the whole tooth incident, he weighed in at
1670 or 1680 grams. He bounced up and down for a while, but now has
dropped below 1600 for two nights running. This has made Steve Slave
quite concerned and I confess I'm a little perplexed.

For about a week, he was peeing bright yellow, the color of
highlighters his vet said. She had never seen pee that color from a
pig before and ultrasounded him, but there were no stones or sludge
bits. (She let us watch and it was cool.) The bright yellow pee seems
to have mostly stopped. There was some blood spotting in the pee
after that vet visit, but that cleared up and we don't know what it
was about. Now he is drinking water more and losing weight.

Any ideas what's going on with our boy? His normal vet is out of town
but there are a couple of other exotics vets in her practice so we
could take him to be seen, but I'd like to go in with some ideas.
