Ric, Denise, and piggies, please accept our very belated condolences on Midnight's passing.  We are so very sorry that he had cancer, but we are so glad that he lived to be seven years old; as you know, seven is a wonderful lifespan for a piggie and obviously a tribute to your love and care.  It is so good to hear, too, that he passed to the Bridge from the safety of your arms and that he was active until the end, attending school and working in his job as Literacy Pig.  We can just imagine the delight he brought to everyone in the classroom, and we hope that the condolences from the children and parents have helped ease your grief.  He will certainly live on in their memories, as well as in the work that his siblings will continue.  Thank you for sharing some of his adventures, such as winning the PetStar contest two years ago -- quite a feat!  How sweet, too, to hear of how he kissed Denise each morning.  Midnight was a lucky boy to be part of your family.
