Nicholle i'd like to offer my support for you also.  How dare they do
that to you, it shows just how insensitive they all are, i agree as the
saying goes 'you can choose your friends, but not your relatives'.  
I too have in laws that hate guinea pigs, not dislike, hate and have no
sympathy what so ever and have never once made a nice comment about
either of our darlings.  When Sully passed away last year (nearly a year
ago soon) there reaction was, so it's only a rodent ewww.  I've barely
been civil since because i find that if i don't like or agree with
something i don't see why i should voice my opinion and offend that
person.  
I'm so so sorry for you that it happened this way, i understand totally
the grief you were going thru, it's devastating and you are still at the
denial, blame stage..... not an easy time for a few weeks is it :o(   As
time goes on you will realise that you gave your little girl the
absolute very best attention and did what you could for her.  Ignore the
crettins who treat you like this like i do, i'm civil (well sort of) but
i do not discuss anything to do with our Duke or even the kids much now.
I feel if i do it this way i'll not open my mouth and voice my opinion
about their behaviour cause it will cause a rift and i don't want to be
the one to start it..
Hugs and piggie kisses for you from us both, animal lovers all around
the world will be hurting for you.
 
On a brighter note, we are soooo pleased to welcome your new gorgeous
piggie 'Chuqui' what a gorgeous piggie ahhhhhhh.   We looooved the
piccies and are very impressed with your setup.  
We hope that your little ones get on really well together and enjoy many
many years with you.
